following way:
1. View historic footage of Joe Pilates performing
and/or teaching the exercises
2. Analyze the
intent of each exercise. Analyze how the pelvis,
spine, hip and shoulder joints organized in each
exercise.
3. Experience the
shape and dynamic of the exercise.
4. Practice the
verbal and tactile cues that facilitate the
exercise.
5. Identify the
conditions for which this exercise is
contraindicated.
The courses 1B, 2B,
3B, etc. address all the modifications of each
exercise, as well as the complimentary exercises
that use the small apparatus such as the roller,
ring, rotator discs, theraband, ball and BOSU. In
each of the 'B' courses the Pilates-evolved
exercises will be practiced, analyzed, cued and
placed in context for specific client conditions,
class sequences and studio sequences.
