Classic
Traditional Yoga
|
|
Yoga
is a word derived from the Sanskrit word Yuj (To yoke, to
get Samadhi or perfect concentration) – Union of Individual
self with Higher Self!. Yoga is an ocean of wisdom evolved
over thousands of years. It is time-tested and highly individualistic.
That’s why one needs a guide or Guru to be on the
right path. Yoga
teaches us – 1) How to think good , do good with
dutifulness and being responsible at self and social level (Karma);
2) With Love and Devotion (Bhakti); 3) By conquering our
mind (Raja);and with 4) Intellect (Jnana).
These are the 4 paths of Yoga.
Yoga heightens our Awareness , helps us to
explore Human Potential , learn Non-Duality (Adwaita) with
Nature and reach the ultimate Bliss and finally to Pure
Consciousness and BEING! This whole life journey can
be explored with success to reach the ultimate goal……….Moksha
or Liberation! Leaving all the bad and evil behind , from
Mortal to Immortal, from Darkness to Light , from Non truth to
Truth!. We usually think we do Yoga when we practice not just to
do Yoga Postures (not necessarily Asana!) or breathing etc. but What
one must always do is but Live it! It
is true to both Sanyasi (Monk) and Grihastha (common
man)…….

|
|
Gyrokinesis™

arching, curling, bending, twisting and spiraling
movements. These same movement patterns are expanded to
release the hip, knee, hamstring, quadriceps and so on, in all
possible directions: front, back, twisting and turning.
The corresponding breathing patterns in every movement stimulate
the nervous system, open up the energy pathways and oxygenate
the blood.

Iyengar
Yoga
|
|
Precise
alignment of the muscles, bones and joints describes the main
focus of Iyengar yoga. Rather than moving quickly through the
poses as in the Ashtanga practice, Iyengar students take more
time, and often use props to align their bodies into its ideal
positioning. Poses are then held, often for many minutes. This
class will focus on Hatha Yoga taught in the tradition of B.K.S
Iyengar with emphasis given to precision and alignment in all
the postures, importance of the standing asanas, timing in the
poses, use of props to achieve perfection working to get
stronger, flexible, stable, energetic, increase precision, focus
and concentration.

Pilates
Mat Class
|
|
The
mat work is a series of floor exercises designed to use the
body's power center or "powerhouse".
The routine requires one to perform various exercises with a
limited number of repetitions while making a smooth transition
from one move into the next. The carefully performed movements
stretch and strengthen, working deeper muscles to produce a
leaner look and improved posture. This challenging floor
work program, based on the teachings of Joseph Pilate, will
start basic and advance slowly. The routine is technically
not aerobic, but with practice, the exerciser can flow right
from one exercise to the next to bring up the heart rate. And
once mastered, the mat exercises can be done on your own as a
regular warm up or training routine.

|
|
Power
Yoga
|
|
Power
Yoga is directed at creating the highest level of energy,
vitality and freedom. The only way to do this is to work with
yourself, not against yourself. By working hard sensitively, we
create an environment that's healing and that honors each
individual, an environment that respects our boundaries and
works within him or her. Power Yoga is about working hard
sensitively. It's about feeling good, not just looking good. The
tone and shapeliness you attain from this work is a by-product.
The focus here is balance and healing.

Yin
Yoga
|
|
Yin
Yoga, also
known as Taoist yoga- a blend of Chinese meridian theory and
traditional yoga postures,
is a gentle restful style of yoga designed to open the body,
increase flexibility, and explore deeper aspects of the poses.
The
postures gently stretch and rehabilitate the connective tissues
such as tendons, ligaments and fascia that form the joints
encouraging a deep unfolding of the hips, groin, and lower
spine. Postures are
held up to five minutes. Yin
Yoga is the perfect balance to an energetic yang practice or a
